entitled

I don't know about any of you, but I'm so sick and tired of this world we live in today...
It's so screwed up and it's getting worse. Sex trafficking, bullying, objectifying and catcalling, the list goes on. We stereotype, we assume, and we judge. It's not fair to ourselves or anyone else. But "life isn't fair," is it?
Nothing is supposed to work out in our favor. We aren't given anything, everything happens for a reason.
And although this is reality, so many of us believe that we're so entitled. Whether it's entitled to attention, special treatment, or even money, we think that we "deserve" things that we have never put forth the effort to earn.
Allow me to reiterate. We are not entitled to anything. Just because your family has money, doesn't allow you to expect special treatment. Or even just because you're conventionally attractive, it doesn't mean that you have a pass to hurt people.
We need to wake up and see that we do not "deserve" anything that we do not earn. If you want to be treated differently, treat people with the same respect. If you want attention, attract the right attention that you're not going to blow off later on.
Earn what you want, you don't inherently deserve the world.
